Why did we decide to build a train table when there are already so many out there? The answer to that is very similar to the reason that we started building any of the furniture that we make. And, that is because so much of what is currently being sold as kids furniture is so poorly made that we wanted another alternative for our own children. The choices for train tables generally come down to a table that is made from MDF which lots of formaldehyde and has paint that contains lead and other harmful chemicals, or a wooden table made with thin wood. So, we made this table using thicker material that is safe and nontoxic.
